Triple Play: Long Sleeved Maxi Dress – GLAM

I recently wrote a piece for April’s issue of Around Woodstock about how to best transition your wardrobe from winter to spring. I like to bust out my spring clothes as soon as possible. (Who  doesn’t, am I right?) Well, that doesn’t mean that all the winter clothes get put immediately away. Sure, I pack up the super-heavy overcoats, but I still keep a light trench or two. This principle should apply to your entire closet. I used Dress Up Boutique‘s versatile long-sleeved maxi dress to show you how.

Long, dark dresses work especially well in the colder months, but don’t go boxing them up too soon. They are the perfect garment to take your wardrobe from season to season in the most seamless way possible!

For this post, I wanted to keep it classy and chic. While it might be a little warmer during the day, if you will be out into the evening, it might be wise to layer… Or, if you’re lucky enough to have this navy stunner, dress it up with a belt and some fierce heels like I did. (Also taking the myth that navy and black “don’t go” to task. So there!)

To accessorize this glamour puss-look, I went with a giant bun, round shades, dainty earrings, and dainty gold necklaces (worn backwards). To see the same dress two new ways, check back later this week!
