T.G.I. Sliders!

Usually, as you all know, we do pizza on Fridays, but last Friday I got a wild hair and we landed on sliders instead. So… Per my usual deal, I used what we already had at the house. I just looked up some recipes and tweaked them a bit to make them my own. So here’s what we came up with…

black bean and feta turkey sliders

Black Bean & Feta Turkey Burgers

– 1/2 can black beans, rinsed and drained

– 1/4 cup feta cheese crumbles

– 1/2 pound ground turkey

– salt & pepper to taste

– 1 tsp crushed cilantro (I use the kind in the squeeze bottle that you can find in the produce section of the supermarket.)

 

 

Garlic & Ranch Turkey Burgersgarlic & ranch turkey sliders

– 1 lb ground turkey

– 1/2 package ranch seasoning

– 1 tbsp chopped garlic

– 1 egg

– 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

– salt & pepper to taste

 

 

Southwest Turkey and Chorizo Burger:southwest turkey and chorizo slider

– 1 lb turkey

– 1/2 lb chorizo

– 1 tbsp ground cumin

– salt & pepper to taste

– 2 tbsp cilantro (Same thing as the other burger… The squeezie tube.)

– 1 clove garlic, chopped

 

 

So… For all these patties, what you’re gonna do, is blend them together in a big bowl and then shape them into slider (or burger if you want) sized patties, then set in the fridge. While they’re cooling and binding together, run on out to your grill and get the charcoals going. Once the flames are down, it’s ready for the patties. You need to cook each one for about 5 minutes per side.

The toppings I recommend you have on hand:

– jalapenos

– swiss cheese

– sharp cheddar cheese

– parmesan (or MANCHEGO… we didn’t have it, but it would have been HEAVEN on the chorizo burger.)

– sliced tomatoes

– avocados

– fried egg (Crack the egg in a lightly buttered pan, once the edges are white, flip without breaking the yolk.)

– ketchup

– mayo

– spicy mustard

– yellow mustard

mayo and cheddar

 

Garlic Ranch Burger:

mustard (dijon or yellow), ketchup, mayo

 

Chorizo Burger:

mayo, manchego (or parm), fried egg, jalapenos, tomato slice, avocado slice
